MLHR is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming unwanted, neglected and abused equines, pigs, goats, sheep, dogs, cats and...well that’s our list so far anyway but we never say never! We believe that all animals deserve kindness, compassion and our deepest respect. We’ve created a safe haven for our rescued friends at our three farms where we make sure that each and every one of them has a life worth living.

The Journey from TeeMill
Follow the product journey, seed to shop.

Every year 100 billion new items of clothing are produced while a truck full of clothing is burned, or buried in a landfill every second. Slowing fast fashion down a bit won't fix it. But when we take the waste material at the end, and make new products from it at the start, it changes everything. That's what we've done.
Our products and packaging are made from natural materials, not plastics. Every product is designed to be sent back to us when it is worn out.
We make new products from the material we recover, and the cycle itself is renewable. Our products can be returned and remade again and again and again.
A pure material makes remanufacturing possible, and means products that are softer, and harmless to the environment.
  • Products designed to be remade again
  • No plastic, just organic cotton
  • We remake new products from material

Mission Statement

Our mission on the island of Ireland is to save as many animal as we can, to educate the humans who own them and to work with law enforcement agencies, animal welfare bodies and members of the public to achieve this. We hope that, through this, Ireland can become a world leader in the area of animal health and welfare, a country that respects and cherishes the lives of those who share our world. We need to get to a place where our animal welfare laws are understood, respected and enforced by those entrusted with this task. We hope for a society with zero tolerance for animal neglect and abuse. We know we can get there.

To these ends we in MLHR will rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and rehome equines. We will rescue, rehabilitate and rehome any other animals in need who cross our paths and we will work cooperatively with government, law enforcement, non-governmental animal welfare bodies, the private sector and members of the public to achieve our goals.

Our Core Values are

Transparency

Accountability

Compassion and Empathy for all those who share our world.

As an organisation committed to these ideals, we work tirelessly to achieve them.

Message from our founders...

‘We feel so privileged that each day of our lives we can give back to all our rescued animals the life they deserved from the start and we are so grateful to every single person who has been part of this amazing journey with us’

Cathy, Debs, Marti

VOLUNTEER

"Volunteering with My Lovely Horse Rescue
is one of the best things I have ever done,
I love the animals, the people and most of
all I get to hug pigs, ponies, goats and many
more every day I'm there"

Emma Kelly

Adopt or Foster

Our goal is to make the adoption and foster process as pleasant and uncomplicated as possible.  We will share as much information as we know about our animals so that you can be confident that you are finding your perfect match.  Also, all of our animals have had health checks, are spayed/neutered and microchipped and passported.

Covid Statement

While many things seem to have come to a standstill during the COVID-19 pandemic, the amount of animals needing our urgent care and attention has only grown. While we are still doing all we can to help these animals we have had to make some changes to how we operate. We have temporarily closed our farms to visitors, we have stopped our street collections and bag packing days in Dublin and Cork, and our farms are being run by a minimal number of staff and volunteers. Please discuss any Covid concerns prior to offering to foster or adopt. At all times our work continues in full compliance with HSE and government guidelines.  Thank you for your continued support of MLHR.
