This 6 year old needs to feel safe and finds comfort in routine. She was massively overweight on arrival and had just lost a foal due to extreme neglect.

With no handling of the gentle variety over the last few years she is terrified of hands, so we don't put her under any pressure to be touched unless it's a matter of health.

Hope is a long term project and needs slow and steady care. She adores her healthy treats like carrots, apples. And they are our biggest ally in winning her trust.

Hope has bonded with Beatrice, a foal who was abandoned at 3 months old, they now stable and get turned out together and Beatrice is helping with Hope's rehabilitation.
