June Brilly was born in 1956 in Illinois, United States of America and settled in Ireland in 1975 living in Prosperous, County Kildare. She has been working full-time as a professional artist since 1982 and has a firmly established reputation among the Irish racing and hunting fraternity.
She specialises in painting animals, particularly horses and has been commissioned to paint many racehorses, International show jumpers, and eventers, but prefers to paint behind the scene studies rather than traditional portraits indeed the whole spectrum of country life.
She has had numerous successful exhibitions in Ireland and abroad and her most recent commission was four large works for the Four Seasons Hotel Dublin.
All the monies raised will contribute to the running costs of My Lovely Horse Rescue. We are a not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers, and we rely on you, our supporters, to enable us to do the work we do.
We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home Ireland's forgotten horses, ponies and donkeys. Our purpose is to end the suffering of equines in Ireland. We rescue the neglected, abandoned, abused and sick ones. We aim to educate those who are not aware of the equine crisis in Ireland, and we aim to improve the mechanisms that are in place to enforce the Animal Health and Welfare Act 2013.
