Darla was surrendered to us in 2020, she was very underweight and had overgrown hooves. She found it painful to walk and looked like she had given up. Her eye was so sad and her demeanor was distant. We brought her to our main farm and every volunteer fell in love with this gorgeous sweet girl. She has an ongoing remedial farrier schedule and was given a full vet check. She is on a supplemented diet and ad-lib forage. She has a warm stable at night and has made new friends equine and human. Every day the spark gets bigger and brighter in her eye, she looks for us in the mornings and enjoys the positive attention the volunteers shower on her. Darla will not be fit for adoption for a long time and we would love someone to sponsor her to help us with the cost of her care
